Our Approach

El Paso Behavioral Health is a safe place where healing can begin. We believe in close family involvement, honest communication, and quality professional care in the least-restrictive environment possible. We want to help those that need our services resume a happier, healthier life as quickly as possible.

We specialize in evaluating and stabilizing people going through a difficult time or crisis.  We bring together a team of professionals from different expertise to understand what our patients are going through and decide which treatment might work best, whether it’s inpatient or outpatient. Our team of dedicated clinical staff have expertise in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

We use a multidiscipline team approach.  Each person will have a treatment plan developed members of this team individualized to their specific needs.  Psychiatrists, licensed therapists, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals all work together as your treatment team. Our comprehensive discharge planning will ease the transition to the next level of care as appropriate.

Our treatment focuses on using therapeutic techniques that have been proven effective through research in an integrative way based on the individual needs of each patient.  We strive to empower our patients and families to learn about and chose positive coping skills to help them deal with challenging emotions, behaviors, and situations.  We believe in providing coping skills education in the following areas: relationships, self-evaluation, emotional regulation, diagnostic education, life management, relaxation, and relapse prevention. Each program is designed to meet the needs of our specific populations however all clinical programs adopt safety, structure, skills, and strengths as our core values.

We value a safe treatment environment where structured programs and activities give patients the opportunities to practice the skills they are working on so they can see their strengths.
